One day we will all face reality

I sporadically think about things that end up making my head hurt, but they are important questions for anybody to ask themselves. As a Christian I think a lot about death because that is when the truth will be revealed. Whatever you believe, when you die, whatever actually happens after death will happen and everyone will face that truth. That is true for every worldview. Well you may not actually be self-conscious of yourself if say existentialism is true, but nonetheless reality will continue to occur after death thus forcing everyone to face that reality. Now many people spend their time searching for that truth before they have to face it. Of course I believe that truth is that we will be perfectly judged by God and we will enter either into heaven or hell. Jesus states in Matthew 7:13-14, "For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it". It is the hardest concept as a Christian to accept the fact that most people will not enter into the kingdom of heaven, but it does not at all discredit the fact that it is not real or that it won't happen. Horrible sufferings occur all around the world and no matter how devastating they may be it doesn't mean they don't happen or that they aren't real. So I think we are called to find the truth before we have to face it, otherwise we could be missing out on eternity. I hope to write more thoughts on life, death, and how we understand them in the context of the world in which we live. So stay tuned!
